Mr Oko Akrong is caring, realistic, knowledgeable, and professional. Much more simple to access the care you need than any other options I have seen, especially in DC where healthcare is often so difficult to find and where most quality mental health practitioners accept only self-pay.

Dr. Akrong is extremely patient. He makes himself available outside of scheduled meetings as well. He always answers any questions I have and does well to explain the goals that we are aiming for through his diagnoses. He has a kind demeanor and smile and I always feel comfortable in our meetings. He also genuinely loves to see the progress/success of his patients. Other than one small organization/ordering snafu, Dr. Akrong has always present and deliberate in his actions.

I can’t start to tell you how relieved I was to find Oko. I had a difficult time finding a psychiatric provider that took my insurance. Finally after ten months of searching I found that Oko does take my insurance. That would be thrilling enough, but wait! It gets better. Oko was compassionate, kind, friendly and easy to open up to. There is zero judgements from him. Just kind, compassionate mental health care. We went over my treatment plan and went into detail about future medication planning, what we would do if I had an adverse reaction, and took into consideration my Pre existing conditions. I give Oko a 10 out of 10 and look forward to a long and happy Dr. patient relationship.
